Our Services During the COVID-19 Outbreak.
How we’re supporting our clients and keeping our communities safe.
Burchell MacDougall LLP wants you to stay safe and help others to do the same as we come together to stop the spread of COVID‑19. To do our part to help flatten the curve, we’ve had to adapt the way we carry on business. We recognize that our clients—existing and new—continue to require legal services during this difficult time and we are prepared and able to assist them. While many of our staff and lawyers are working remotely, our firm remains open for business during regular working hours.
The steps we’re taking to help flatten the curve.
The health and safety of our clients and employees is paramount, so we have taken the following precautions in accordance with the directives and advice of public health officials:
- Wherever possible, we meet with clients remotely, either by telephone or videoconference, rather than in-person. Of course, we are also easily reachable via email.
- Where an in-person meeting is needed to sign documents or for other reasons, our lawyers can meet clients at any of our offices by scheduled appointment. While closed to the public, we’ve dedicated boardrooms to face-to-face meetings where we can maintain physical distancing. The tables, chairs and other surfaces are cleaned after each meeting.
We’re still here to help with your legal needs.
There are still many ways in which Burchell MacDougall LLP can help with your legal needs. For example, the Land Registry remains open and operating for real estate transactions. We can assist with wills and estate planning, provide advice on employment problems, and with separations, custody and child support and other family law issues.
Thank you for helping us serve you in the most effective way for these times. If you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance to you during these difficult times, please do not hesitate to contact us.
