Daniel Roper knew early on he wanted to be a lawyer; “Representing the interests of my clients is a privilege that I take very seriously."
Originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Daniel earned his undergraduate degree at UPEI before attending law school at Dalhousie University.
Daniel joined Burchell MacDougall LLP’s Truro office during his second summer of law school, did his articles with the firm and was hired as an associate lawyer following his call to the Nova Scotia Bar in June 2013. His practice focuses almost exclusively on family law.
“Family law is an area where I assist clients through a wide range of very personal experiences.”
During periods of major change, it is important to have a lawyer who can provide you with practical, yet precise, guidance.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoys being active, volunteering in the community and spending time with friends and family. Daniel has a passion for film and enjoys attending the Atlantic International Film Festival each year.
Daniel Roper was recognized by The Best Lawyers™ in Canada 2025 for his practice in Family Law.
