Originally from St. John’s, NL, Eryn Heidel completed her bachelor’s degree with a double major in English and French, as well as a master’s degree in English, at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Eryn attended law school at the University of Ottawa, and chose law as a career because “there are so many ways to help people and to advocate for positive and just changes to our society. It’s very rewarding.”
She joined Burchell MacDougall LLP’s Truro office as an articled clerk, and, with her acceptance to the bar in 2023, became an associate lawyer with the firm. Eryn chose to work with Burchell MacDougall because she liked the reputation of the firm and she appreciated how down to earth and well-rounded the lawyers were.
“I felt like Truro and Burchell MacDougall would be a good place for me to put down roots.”
Outside of work, Eryn enjoys trivia nights, going to the gym, crocheting, travelling, and spending time with her cat, Captain.
