Patrick is a partner with Burchell MacDougall LLP. His preferred areas of practice include corporate/commercial law, real estate and estate planning.
Patrick grew up in Enfield, Nova Scotia, and received a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology/Sociology) from Saint Mary’s University. Patrick obtained a Juris Doctor degree at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law, with a Business Law Specialization, earning the Canadian Energy Law Foundation prize for outstanding performance in Oil and Gas Law.
After law school, Patrick obtained the Osgoode Certificate in Blockchain Law and was Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (Nova Scotia branch) Business Law section from 2021 – 2023.
Patrick is a board member of the East Hants Arena Association and the Beaverbank ATV Club Association. He also volunteers with Dreams Take Flight. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys trying to keep up with his two young boys, playing hockey and attempting to correct his slice on the golf course.
